Quick Review: Mito’s Place, Boracay
Here’s a quick, lazy man’s review of Mito’s Place – a resort in boracay.
Pros:
- The rooms are pretty clean and modern-looking
- Just behind Starbucks, Boracay
- Beach front (well Starbucks is technically in front of it)
- Friendly staff, Nice service
- Nice 3rd floor veranda/porch (we stayed at the expensive P4K per night rooms) view where we had our own small table and chairs
- They’ll bring out beach towels and chairs for your private use in the beach (just ask)
- There are dark curtains behind transparent glass front wall. You can move the curtain aside to see the view or keep it closed for privacy.
- Romantic light dimmers in the room
- They have FREE WIFI!
Cons:
- At the time we stayed there, there was water leaking under the sink
- They need more hooks in the bathroom
- There’s DVD, extension cables… but you have to ask them. It’s not in the rooms by default.
- The bathroom needs a toilet-paper-holder
- The room needs an extra desk/dresser/drawer/side-table
- There was no bathroom mirror
- There was a lack of trash cans in the room (only 1 in the bedroom)
- The lock of the room seemed flimsy. It’s a sliding door with transparent windows.
- Last minute room transfers. We booked the best room in the resort but was moved to another 3 days before our trip there. According to them the guests “extended their stay.”
- No elevators. You had to walk to the third floor where the best rooms where.
- There was no intercon or telephone in the room. You had to walk to the reception area just to get your room clean.
