I accidentally told someone Kris Allen won.
He’d been keeping himself from hearing about it the whole day. Any hint of American Idol on the internet or from his family – he’d block it out. Then, at dinnertime, we were just joking around when I blurted out “It’s amazing someone shy and quiet won.”
Suddenly, everyone paused – like you could hear a pin drop.
Eventually we all laughed but I was soooo embarrassed. More so since we were invited to dinner at their house, just as they were waiting for the American Idol replay end, which was just minutes away.
Stupid me.
