How To Get More Income Than Your (Previous) Day Job
Jehzlau took a peek at his Adsense earnings for the day. He just published an online article on the recent nursing exams. Meticulously, he monitored the web page’s traffic. It was promising.
It was somewhat successful as it boosted my online earnings a bit. A lot of people, specially those who took the recent Nursing Board Exam were looking for it. A few percentage of those visitors clicked on my ads and gave (me) my some dollars.
Jehzlau is a Professional Blogger (Pro-blogger). A pro-blogger writes articles on niche topics and earns income through advertising. He takes a look at the recent news trends and writes articles that are relevant to the times.
As of this month, I’m just making puzzles and sharing them to my readers to satisfy my geekery. But I’m not that “genius” as you may think. I’m just an ordinary hoi polloi who wakes up at night and sleeps in the morning. Sometimes I blog interesting topics, sharing interesting articles. And eventually these topics contribute to the growth of my daily online earnings. Just like before, I blogged about my new calling card design. Then people who are looking for “Calling Card Design Samples” and “Business Card Design Samples” came to visit my blog even if I don’t know them. Thanks to search engines for making this possible.
He talks about Search Engine Optimization (SEO). When writers talk about a particular topic and nobody else seems to be writing anything decent on that same topic, search engines like Google reward them with top rankings. Thus, the web page becomes more visible than usual.
Being seen means a chance for online ads to be clicked. It translates to revenue for the writer.
How has this work for Jehzlau so far?
100% of my salary are from my online earnings. But if you compare it with my offline salary before (a year ago when I was still working as a web developer in a certain BPO company here in the Philippines) my online earnings is far more greater than my earnings as a normal employee.
Not bad for a former BPO web developer.
