How Not To Send Email Campaigns [Gmail Block Images Problem]

Check out an email I received from Yehey:

What some email marketers fail to do - create an alternate "text only" email copy. Gmail blocks external images and your potential target just didn't get your marketing message.

That's standard best practice - send 2 versions of your email. HTML and text-only.

  1. Most companies are using html when they don’t need to anyway. For example, when you fill out a webform requesting a free trial or to be contacted to demo a product, don’t bother sending a fancy email with html and a ton of information when a personalized text email will work. Those get read more anyway.
