This technology basically READS people’s intentions by detecting body language. This is similar to how the Segway machines react to how people uses them.
Computers and motors in the base of the (segway) device keep the Segway PT upright when powered on with balancing enabled. Users lean forward to go forward, lean back to go backward, and turn by using a “Lean Steer” handlebar, leaning it left or right. Segway PTs are driven by electric motors at up to 20 kilometres per hour.
NeuroSky has apparently developed cost-effective and “wearable” (dry) bio-sensor and signal processing technology specifically designed for end-use in the consumer market. Here’s a preview:
If this technology advances a notch, it could be potentially used for a whole spectrum of applications.
You can literally shout out “Look Ma! No hands!” while driving cars and riding bikes.
