Fearing the US recession?

You shouldn’t. It actually offers new amazing opportunities for Filipinos. Even the call center industry agrees.

The idea is, as US companies cut down on costs they’ll outsource many of their core operations to countries with relatively cheap labor (like the Philippines).

This will get more jobs. With internet technology readily available, freelancers can now sell better web marketing, programming and software development services. New markets are opened up as US businesses take their operations elsewhere.

I heard a Chinese friend once say:

We are careful when economy is very good but more open to grab opportunities when it is very bad.

He must have a point. Grab the opportunities as they come by. Just be informed and prepared.
