Is Your Blog Designed To Confuse?
Does your website look anything as chaotic as this?
Look at how unaligned the ads and content are. I see sites like these every day. It’s as if you are intentionally confusing your reader so that they might click on your ads (and earn you income). Maybe you are.
Couldn’t you, at the least, align those images and text? It would give your visitors, I believe, a better reading experience. You can guide them to your ads (if that is what’s your intention) by being a bit more organized.
Advertising and sponsorship are a fact of life. You need the money, I know. I do too. The least you can do is make a simple adjustment. You can be interruptive (as the nature of ads are) and yet balance the experience. If you don’t know how to do it, ask for help.
Wouldn’t it be great to have something clean and uncluttered to look at?
Give your readers a little more credit. As they see you take the time to care for them, they’ll care for you. They’ll see you have integrity. Eventually, they’ll stick with you.
hmmm my next project has a layout quite similar to your second illustration. So i guess its always about striking a balance between CTR and UX.
