The guidelines for Buzz Marketing mentioned in the presentation:

- Superior Experience
- Contagious Product
- Superior Quality
- Under Promise / Over deliver
- Anticipation
- Reach 10-15%
- Truth

I think – Simply put, you’ve just got to be honest and leave an impression. If you can make a customer go “Wow!” … then you’ve achieved the ultimate reaction. Now think about getting that WOW factor from people who like to talk – those who really share positive experiences.

If you do that, things should work out.

However, life is not always perfect is it? Some marketing initiatives don’t work. Why? Well, you can’t sell a LION if all you have is a cat. If your product sucks, people will know.

Companies should save themselves the hassle and start with an awesome product that fulfills people’s needs. Do that and marketing suddenly becomes easy.
