A Marvelous Project and A $500 Design Contest
Project M
It is no secret that I'm loving this Structure Wordpress theme by Justin Tadlock. The more I use it, the more I discover its simple yet elegant design solution. This is a very well-designed theme not just from a visitor's perspective but as well as from a blogger's user experience. Things I love about this:
- You can create TABS of categories.
- It has a unique way of embedding images and videos. You use the custom fields option when you write an article, put the video or image link, and the media is instanly positioned on the upper left of the post. Much simpler to use.
- The unique sidebar with dynamic tabs. You can add more content on the site by squeezing content into tabs.
- The grid format design with a FEATURE article on top. At the home page, this theme can be structured into the traditional way (reverse chronological order of posts) or with a feature article.
I've been looking for a theme that had this theme's features and found many were PAY FOR USE. Naturally, I preferred the free version. Justin has a big rant on the paid themes market. I somewhat agree with his complaints.
As an appreciation, let me mention Justin Tadlock's Project M. The aim of this project is to create a wordpress theme community. Good luck to him on this initiative.
A Design Contest
My friend Angelo requested that I mention this $500 design contest:
We need a set of characters that will represent the DragFools Family. These will be the characters to been seen within our DragFools.com website. They will also adorn merchandise, bumper stickers, etc.
The contest will run until June 15 and the winner will be announced a week later.
The winner will get $500 or it's peso equivalent.
Please forward to all your designer friends. By the way, you guys might also want to look at Crowd Spring - a market place for design projects.

Thanks for the support, Jozzua. The more people we can get blogging about Project M, the better.
Also, thanks for using the Structure theme. Stop by the forums anytime you have any questions about using it.
