Or a very high income-earning (but terrible UX) site like this:

How does your website look like?

Luckily UXMag.com provides a solution. Advertising, they say, is your friend.

You simply must find your balance. :)

    Most of my blogs now are midway between #1 & #2. ;)

    I think UX is still way more important, but bloggers who want to make money off of their blogs shouldn’t discount the significance of well-placed ads.

    I have my ads on the sidebar and below the post (but before the comments). There’s no advertising in my folio though.
