One of the things I’ve been mulling over is the value of writing daily versus weekly posts. Having a lot of articles may be advantageous for SEO purposes. For the regular subscribers, however (especially those who get e-mail), it may be quite a hassle to get too many articles a week.
Do You Really Read Daily Posts?
Seriously now, do you really read all those posts? You just really look at the titles right? Do you really have time to read all the stuff the bloggers write about? Wouldn’t you rather have one or two great articles every week?
I, personally, don’t. I’d just have them all downloaded on Google Reader and I’d just look at the titles for the interesting topics. Too many articles gets me overloaded with info.
Just to be sure, let’s have a short User Experience (UX) survey. Here’s a question to all RSS and e-mail subscribers out there.
Do you prefer weekly or daily articles?
Choice A: Daily Articles.
Choice B: Weekly one or two articles.
Choice C: Doesn’t really matter.
Feel free to leave a comment below and share your thoughts on this. I’d love to find out how you see this.

generally, i think B is enough. but it depends on the type of content. i subscribe to some photoblogs that are updated everyday, and they don’t really eat up my time.
