Unionbank and PayPal users are getting frustrated. Check out the comments:
My own experience with Unionbank has been rife with headaches that posting the comment here would take up too much space. I kind of wasted around 41 days with Unionbank already…what with all the trials and errors I’ve gone through. And it’s not over yet… -BEA LAPA
My confidence is a bit shaken. My wife called Unionbank. They see the Paypal withdrawal made on the 23rd of November, but not the withdrawal made on the 13th. They say they have no record of it. They said they would check the float department and advised us to contact them in 5 to 7 business days to see where it is. - LOUIS
I still have 2 transactions(total of $990) dated October 18 and 20 that haven’t cleared from my EON yet. So thats over a month now. I can’t believe why its taking THEM that LONG to process my withdrawal.
…finally, i got my money cleared on my EON just when im about to consult a lawyer. It took them almost 2 months to process my paypal to eon withdrawa

Clearly, Unionbank and Paypal need to improve their business processes.

Agreed Anton. Annoying problem. I had hoped it would be the answer to our online e-commerce needs. Apparently not yet. I don’t know any other solid option at the moment.

Got my EON card today and was able to have a chat with one of the UnionBank tellers. It seems like the tellers (or maybe only the teller from that specific branch) weren’t trained well about the EON card’s functions, let alone its use in withdrawing PayPal payouts.

FYI, last night my $120 withdrawal from Paypal finally appeared in the account. They used last Friday’s exchange rate, which happens to be the lowest the dollar has been in years. Now it has bounced back up.

wahh! icould swear on the inefficiency of Union Bank not to mention their employees. The bank’s manager here in Legazpi, i think, don’t even know what he’s doing! duh!

Hi Jozzua
I am an australian citizen and would like to start up a business in the Philippines to which I can outsource some of my businesses work. Is this possible? Are you able to point me in the right direction as I do not know where to start?
Thanks in advance.

This is now resolved, you can now withdraw paypal to local bank accounts, not union bank alone.
