Allergyboy was kind enough to inform me that he has been able to use Paypal with HSBC credit cards. He explains what HSBC Visa card he used:

I think I should mention what kind of VISA card I have since I can’t verify if this works with every single type of VISA Credit Card in the Philippines (although I don’t see that many reasons why it shouldn’t). Mine is an HSBC Mabuhay Miles VISA Classic.

Allregyboy, says there are two steps to get your money from HSBC:

1. Request for an overpayment check
2. Use HSBC VISA Credit Card’s Cash Advance Feature

As you know PayPal is already available in the Philippines and we have already verified that it works with the Unionbank EON card.

One more news, Unionbank and Ibank are now one big bank. There would potentially be more banks that can handle your PayPal account.
