There’s a new social networking site on the rise. It’s called yuwie (aff link). It’s a weird name but if you go and visit the site (go on visit it now), you will see quite a persuasive video. You will see a man - explaining what Yuwie is. What’s interesting is that they market yuwie as a way to also earn money. Yuwie differentiates itself by paying its members for using the site for every action they take on the site, and even the actions resulting from them. The man in the video claims that you can earn money through the number of page views that you will get.
Why do I get paid?
Yuwie argues that others social networking sites are making an estimated $20 million a month while the users do all the work (social media ain’t it?) and that unlike these other sites, they want to share there revenue with the users.
What do I get paid for?
You get paid for every action you take on the site. Every change you make to your profile, every picture/blog/video you post, and not only that, you get paid for every time another user looks at your profile or content that you have created or posted. On the 15th of each month, Yuwie decides (based on how much they made in the previous month) how much will be given out to each user, an amount that you can track from the ‘earnings’ section of your profile. The revenue share rate for the month of August was $0.47 per thousand views.
The earnings potential is quite huge and I find it quite enticing. At this point, however, I do sense some dangers already. First, is this really true? Will they actually pay their members? I also get a feeling that it is something like a big online pyramid scheme. How long will this system work before it actually folds?
Well, the best knowledge is gained first hand. So guess what I just signed up on Yuwie. Care to experiment it with me?
The video is quite compelling. Just take a look at it.

i heard this kind of scheme before and to be honest i have my doubts. and i want to know the details of how they’ll pay me, but this part wasn’t clearly explained… plus i’ve read this in the terms & conditions:
8. Fees. Yuwie.com is currently free of charge, but you acknowledge that Yuwie.com reserves the right to charge for the Yuwie Services and to change its fees from time to time in its discretion. If Yuwie.com terminates your Membership because you have breached the Agreement, you shall not be entitled to the refund of any unused portion of subscription fees
…anyways, we’ll never really know unless we try this system, but i think i’ll pass.

They pay thru PayPal. If you login, there is an option to submit your PayPal info. I’ve been searching around the internet to find out if this is a SCAM. So far, I haven’t found anything conclusive.
Anyway, what’s there to lose? Time spent setting it up? They aren’t charging me anything so personally, I’ll just try it out and see. If it’s a SCAM, I’ll be the first to announce it to the world.

How is free related to SCAM…. That part I don’t understand, you will never be cheated with free.
