Around two months ago, one of my blogger friends personally showed me his Text Link Ads (TLA) check worth $800. After that, I asked some other bloggers how they were faring with TLA. They gave me some promising numbers. I decided to try it out as well. Two weeks later, I have one advertiser on my site. Not a bad start, eh?

Looking at Abe’s latest TLA post, I see that he is actually doing quite well with TLA. He even gives out some handy advice on how to get more advertisers. Reading his advice, I think Carl and Shari (the Misteryosa) could easily get more advertisers. Carl could just showcase his Alexa numbers. Shari could pitch to potential advertisers that her blog is featured on mainstream media.

You see, Carl has this long Alexa train thing going on which pumped up his ranking. Here’s what his train looked like:

Shari, on the other hand, should showcase the recent Philippine Blog Awards and tell all her potential advertisers how much traffic she gets. She could pitch to them that her blog was featured in Manila Bulletin.

Both Carl and Shari have Text Link Ads. I’m pretty sure they are probably getting income from it already.

I checked my TLA numbers and I already up to almost $20. I hope I can reach my friend’s $800 figure as well.
