How Much Money Could 30 Domain Names Give You?
By the way, you might want to learn FREE Internet Marketing Basics (You know, so you can sell stuff online)
A notable Filipino blogger informed me that he has around 30+ domains in his control. He actively creates content for only some selected sites. The other domains had pre-existing content. He bought these at great discounts.
Now, he has his own car and apartment. He gets cool new gadgets every month. He is a problogger and lives quite comfortably.
Looking back at my own domains (I’ve got a couple), I realized that once I developed these into real websites, they earned a bit of income. For a 24 dollar annual investment, I can get a very good domain name and web hosting package. To get a Return On Investment (ROI), I would need at to make at least 2 dollars per month for one year.
Guess what, it turns out I can make more than 2 dollars per month. I can create a domain with 5 pages of unique content in a day. This could be Search Engine Optimized. I could put Adsense Ads all over the place. I would leave this alone and probably add more content on a monthly period. This should get around 10 cents per day. $3 a month!
30 domain names could possibly get me at least 90 dollars a month. Not bad.
Why not JUST go into domaining and problogging?
- There is an initial investment. Unfortunately, I have to buy the domain name and web hosting at the onset of this project. I have only 1 decent credit card (by choice) and I’ve intentionally put a low credit limit on it so that I don’t get carried away when I spend.
- Fear. There is a significant financial risk should I ever endeavor to do it full time. What if I I turn out to be wrong?
This are the kinds of things a tech entrepreneur would think about.
On the other hand…
YOU, however, might just have the time and the credit card to do this. You just might want to think this through and see if it makes sense.

i noticed though that there are some links that pays 40 cents or more. I had a website that used to pay 40-85 cents per click but i had to remove the adsense in such site after a week because i ended up advertising my direct competitors that were selling exactly the same items..
Hi Ely,
Where may we get a good hosting package (plus domain name) for only $24 a year?
Wow, I never thought getting $2-3 per month per domain/site is good enough. Never thought of it in a ‘long-term’ perspective. Gail gets $60-200 every 2 months on the average for her kutitots, filipinowebdesigner, and yours truly!. This reminds me na we have not claimed a couple of checks from the QC post office yet. Magkano kaya yun…
More power to you and your domains Ely. May they increase monetization exponentially. Hopefully we can get to buy our dream Samsung LCD TV soon parang si Abe.
Dolphinstate, that’s the price you pay with adsense. You send your visitors elsewhere.
Manuel, there are a number of pinoy based webhosting solutions that are very cheap including Siterepublic.net and Abe’s ploghost.
Marc, I’d love a TV but I’m going for a house first.
this is actually my plan before. but i just don’t have credit card so i couldn’t do as I planned.
so what i can do now is to focus on my selaplana.com and make it a money machine….
