Jayvee’s talk on last Saturday’s iBlog3 event was practical and educational. He talks about what you can really expect from joining network blogs. There are groups of blogs that are under certain companies like b5media. When you join a blog network, you can get around $50-200 a month depending on the traffic you drive into the network. There are also incentives schemes where you can get additional income from the shares of advertising revenue. Some points I remember:
- Blog writers are typically required to write around 5-6 posts per week.
- Blog networks are akin to published magazines. The income comes really from advertising
- Don’t quit your day job to go blogging. Unless you get really great numbers, don’t expect it to support your lifestyle
So, anybody out there looking for a “raket” (or additional income opportunity), go check out the blog networks.

Siguro creating your own blog would be better. I mean you could make that 50-200 bucks… Well, just my opinion, hehehehehe

@Arpee, just regularly check my blog. Hehe.
@Carlo: I actually agree – you can make that 50-200 bucks. The difference is.. network blogs already have traffic. You spend less time marketing your site and can actually focus more on the writing.

well, i quit my job before and started my cafe business. after some times, i quit my business and became fulltime blogger.
basta masipag ka lang, mabubuhay ka rin mula sa blogging income mo.

that is the usual industry rate. you might want to complement by also writing for local magazines to grow your network :)
