Marc has a nice post about online reputation management and shows a very nice example. His PLDT MyDSL example makes a strong point:

I also checked out the search results for Yahoo and MSN:

Actually when you search for “PLDT Service” on Google, you will find a lot more negative comments.

Lesson to remember: What other bloggers say about your brand can really stick on the search engines.

Hehehehe… Walmart has the same problem before, Ewan ko pano nila natanggal. maybe nilabanan ng seo nila

pero check out “george w bush” in google, may mga chips..

Kaya always take care of your online reputation, mahirap na pag may haters ka.

I think bloggers have an easy time shaping a online reputation, since blogs are very rich in keywords that search engines love to process.

Does this also mean that the first critic wins, because his content will become more visible in SEs?

Hey! This is a great post and link bait for Marc! Hahaha.
Hmm, I remember the days when I was reading endless posts in a forum about how PLDT “S*cks.
I used to be a user of MyDsl and didn’t have any problems…

hey bok! we needed to leave early kasi we had to go to bulacan pa that night to attend my wife’s bro’s graduation. kaya ako nagpost dito kasi i’m jusing smart bro and true enough medyo bumagal. pero steady lang, my blogging hasn’t been badly affected. pero i’ve been hearing horror stories about the pldt mydsl kaya nga daw binago nila yung ad nila by saying that it was 2x faster than dialup. 2x na lang! if their dsl is that bad, i can only imagine how their dial-up service chugs along. pre, as far as i’m concerned, ikaw pa rin panalo!
