Here’s to all my fellow bloggers who have, in some way or another, added to my Alexa Traffic Rank today:
I remember a couple of months ago when my Alexa rank was still at 900,000…seems like yesterday. ( In case you didn’t know, the lower the Alexa rank, the better.) If I ever reach Abe’s, Alexa Rank, I’ll treat you guys out to some alcohol (except Carlo – only Soft drinks for you!).

As for the Alexa ranking: does that mean Pinoy users really install the Alexa Toolbar?
Or the quirk searchstatus for firefox! I think having that helps every site/blog you visit. :D

Aww, no link love for me? Hehe. Alexa data is not that reliable. It depends too much on a toolbar that only the tech savvy would know how to install. I had a newly-launched site that got only 25 hits a day but its Alexa ranking shot up to 30,000. Try http://www.quantcast.com and get your site quantified by inserting their code. Aside from traffic stats, you get demographic analysis of your visitors (see http://www.quantcast.com/alleba.com). Takes time to gather the data though, but it’ll be worth it.

Below 100,000 in alexa is good, I’m near the 50,000 mark right now. :)
Though seriously alexa is just another metric and does not conclusively show how influential a site is.
