I had a question from one of my subscribers:
Hi Jozzua,
i know you’ve been posting about this adsense of google for quite some
time now. could you tell me again whats its all about and how can i
get into it?? thanks for the info man
I’ve been writing about Adsense for quite a long time now. I didn’t realize some people didn’t know what the heck it was!
AdSense is a way to earn income online. If you have a website, you place certain pieces of HTML code on it. The code will automatically display advertisements. The Adsense system will generate Ads that are relevant to what the entire page is talking about. For instance, if you talk about automobile parts, the Ads that will be shown would be related to Automobiles. You can read more about it by visiting the Adsense Help Center.
When a visitors sees your Ad and clicks on it, you (the website owner) will earn income.
WARNING: Do NOT attempt to TRICK the Adsense system by clicking on Ads in your own site! Don’t DO IT! You will be banned.
I’ve heard many sad stories of bloggers getting banned from Adsense. Thus, they had to find alternative sources of income.
So how do you start? You need to sign up with Google Adsense.
Make sure to put in your REAL name when you sign up. Cheques sent to you will be in that name you use. When you reach $US50, a code will be mailed to you to confirm your mailing address. When you reach US$100, the cheque will be sent to you by mail. If you are in the Philippines, make sure to get Adsense cheques by courier to prevent problems - it is much more expensive but worth it. There are a lot of tales of stolen Adsense Cheques.

I second your advice on having your check delivered through an established courier like DHL or Fedex, especially when the value is quite substantial. Heck, $150 to $200 is already a month’s worth of salary to a regular blue-collar worker, so it really isn’t worth the risk to have it delivered via regular postmail just to save a few bucks.

@Philip: No Problem. Keep reading my blog. I freely share. Subscribe too.
@Raymond: Subscribe to my mailing list. I’m planning to open up a site for people who would like to advertise online.
@Gabs: Does Fedex deliver adsense cheques? I’ve only received my through DHL.
