How To Get $60-$100 A Month on Adsense
I can only give you these kinds of figures because these are based on my actual experiences on Adsense-Monetized Blogging. Sadly, I’m not in the $50-100 a day range yet (unlike some REAL people I know who prefer to remain anonymous). So, for beginners like me, I’ll just give you ideas how I made it this far. If I get better numbers, I’ll gladly tell you how I did it.
So I’ll tell you what I did. First, I’ll show you my Adsense numbers:
Jan-06 $2.49
Feb-06 $4.06
Mar-06 $10.15
Apr-06 $5.23
May-06 $8.18
Jun-06 $6.67
Jul-06 $26.87
Aug-06 $37.20
Sep-06 $31.44
Oct-06 $48.34
Nov-06 $56.08
Dec-06 $60.69
Jan-07 $106.39
Feb-07 $77.35
As you can see, I’ve just been at this for a year. I started using the Serendipity blog system at first. It was very easy to use. Eventually, I moved to wordpress because I had some trouble with my servers. I had to move from Godaddy to my a different hosting service.
From the numbers above, you will notice a huge income spike in July of last year (2006). The income surge started when I really started writing about more “how to” articles and I talked about certain niche topics. It was around this time that I started playing full-time on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and I placed that big Adsense square Ads smack at the top of all my single posts. I actually reported about the Yahoo Messenger Pinoy Audibles - which gave me some respectable organic traffic. From then on, I just continued blogging away and creating very niche content.
So, what have I learned?
- Learn SEO - It really helps knowing about keywords and stuff.
- Learn where to place your Google Ads - took me some testing but I found a nice spot on my blog for the Ads.
- Talk about niche topics - What other people won’t normally see online
- Blog Regularly - Update your web pages. Daily, if possible.
- Write ‘How To’ Articles
- Report News Tidbits
Marghil also has a nice post on how much he’s made from Adsense Blogging. He’s actually doing much better than me, so you’ve got to read his blog. Unfortunately, he wrote in Filipino. The English-reading community won’t appreciate it.
Enjoy!

More proof that nothing beats old fashioned determination, not to mention patience!
May I suggest you use a line graph to plot your earnings’ progress? It would make a great visual aid.
Yes, you may suggest a graph.
I was just too lazy to plot it out. Anyway, you guys see the picture.
Hmm, those are good tips! How I wish I can easily convert my personal-emo blog to a niche one…But I can’t, sigh.
nicely done jozzua.
i’ll be putting your tips into good use.
thanks!
@Liz: Well you can still talk about a niche topic per post. You don’t need to make the entire blog niched.
@AJ: You should also share you own money-making tips! How’s the IPOD?
