Two Philippine Blogging Events You Should Not Miss

The current Philippine online community is so lively these days. After the SEO Philippines contest, two notable blogging events are upcoming:

• The 2007 Philippine Blog Awards
• The 3rd iBlog Summit

Any sociable Filipino blogger should grace these events. Any technopreneurial blogger should not miss them. I really consider blog networking as important offline activities. The chances of selling your products/services are definitely higher when you go to where the crowds are.

Some personal tips when going to these events:

• Prepare and bring business cards. People will more likely remember who you are and what you do when you have ready business cards to give them.
• Smile and introduce yourself to strangers. I've noticed that most of the people in these event warm up to a sincere smile.
• Introduce other people that you have met - One trick that seems to work for me (to help me remember People's names and blogs) is I introduce one person I've met to another I already know. It serves to reinforce my knowledge of other people's names and websites. It just works for me.
