If you had listened to Episode Two of the Noypi Podcast, you would’ve heard a small tidbit about Tsikot.com’s owner Jedi Dancel - he is currently having his Google house built.

What is a Google house? Is it one with the Google Logo on it? Nope. It’s a house funded by Google Adsense Income.

Jedi’s story is an inspiring piece for online entrepreneurs. By building a community of automobile enthusiasts and creating a portal for buyers and sellers to meet, he has gained some significant Ad revenue. Enough to buy a lot and build a house. He tells a funny anecdote of how his mom would be the first to open the Adsense cheques when they are delivered through courier. “Inuunahan ako.” He says.

Affordable houses in Manila would probably be around the 700 hundred thousand to 1 Million Peso price range. To be able to buy a simple house and lot, what monthly Adsense Income should one get?

I know of some condominium properties with payment terms that go like this:

- 10 thousand pesos (US$200) reservation fee
- 20 thousand pesos (US$400) first month payment
- 7,500 pesos monthly payment for the first year
- 10 thousand monthly payment for the second year
- 12,000++ monthly payment for the third year up to the fifteenth year

Yes, the condo terms is fifteen-years-to-pay. Quite attractive for middle income, blue-collar Philippine workers.

Following the preceding example, someone earning Adsense should get at least around US$300 monthly for fifteen years. I think Jedi would probably be earning more because, if I heard him right, he bought the initial LOT property in CASH.

Wow. That is inspiring. I wonder when I’d be able to buy my own Google House.

Jedi! You’re the man!
