So How do You get blog attention and make money from it?
Talk about Sex.
Unfortunately for the morally just, it works.
How do I know that? Well, remember we have a new website called noypi? We had planned it to be a collection of links pointing to articles relevant about the Philippines. Some people posted links on the infamous Angelica Panganiban pre-edited Tanduay Calendar pictures. The traffic for the website shot up for searches related to the terms “Angelica Panganiban”.
Along with the surge in traffic, came an increase in the Adsense Revenue.
To give you an idea, before the Angelica Panganiban link, the site was getting around 20 unique visits per day. It shot up to 100-200 visits per day when the Angel was added. The Ad earnings went up by at least $1.50 per day.
Yes. Sex still sells online.
*Sigh* It’s a sad reality of life.

Unfortunately, I’d have to agree. Sex does sell. I made an article about Filipinos being more interested in “sex” than “money” and after it was posted, additional traffic came to the site via Google keywords such as “Pinoy sex”, “sex Filipina”, “Philippine porn”, among others.
Hmm, Jozzua, are you also cashing in on the “Angelica Panganiban” phenomenon that’s why you made this post? LOL.

sex sells. everywhere. in every form. Society in general has become more and more hedonistic, and with the “development” of a country comes the emergence of a more empowered (and horny) middleclass. Its common knowledge that the birthing pains of the internet as we know it was anaesthesized by the burgeoning internet porn industry. why? because regardless of whatever moral stand you have, people LOVE SEX (although quite a few argue thats an oxymoron). Without people demanding to see more tits faster than a pixel at a time onscreen 20 years ago do you think you’d be blogging the way you are now?
