Yes you read that right. For only 31000 Pesos (US$620), you could get a nice laptop with built-in web cam and 4-1 card reader at only 2.2 kg. I bought this at PC Click, over at Gilmore, Quezon City. Gilmore is known as a hub for affordable computer systems. You could travel there easily by hopping on the MRT train going from Santolan to Recto. Just get off at Gilmore station.
Last year I had another laptop which I gave to my girlfriend. Since then I worked on a desktop.
Luckily, the office thought I deserved a laptop. It would be helpful for marketing purposes. Viola! New Year, new gadget.

Well i got my neo endura 505gl (1.6 ghz 40 gb hdd), an entry level laptop last october 2005, maybe i am just lucky? i don’t experienced any bad things that some people had hated neo. My neo neo really serve me well, till I bought my hp dv6 for my entertainment and gaming needs last 2009, but it doesn’t mean that my neo can’t handle some games, it can play most directx 9 games smoothly even with only gma 915 gpu. well you’ll have to update its graphics driver to do so. and intel will provide such update, being an intel based platform you are supported not just by neo but also by intel. my neo is a little bit abused machine during its early years and survived. my problem right now is, i cannot install win7 on it because neo technician won’t update its bios because my laptop is already jurassic by today’s standard. i still love my neo for being there when i’m just starting to earn, and i want her to have a new life, another chalenge to prove its worthiness, even if i cheated her when i buy an acer netbook with a dedicated gpu, higher cpu(daw)1.7 and a larger hdd for portability sake, which i really regretted. my 2010 acer netbook with amd cpu and gpu with ddr3 ram cannot beat my 2005 neo with intel solutions with 2 gig ram in almost all categories except the hardrive space! for all neo haters, the company is not alone in defects and malfunctions, have you heard the nvidia settlement? google it and see the brands for you to believe. in almost all manufacturing process there is always a margin of error, regardless of what brand it could be because nothing is perfect, that is why there is always a product warranty.
