User Generated Photo-Magazine Concept

I like this idea: the production of a bi-monthly magazine that relies completely on photography submitted by users of their online community. Think about Philippine flickr-like application where the community can vote the best user-contributed images. These images would then be published in a magazine.

I think this business model would work. The magazines could get revenue from the sale of the publication and from Advertisers. The problem here would be the initial build-up of the community. Once that’s done, though, I think it would be a money-earner.

A strategy for this would probably be to get in touch with Philippine-based photography clubs that don’t have an online presence. Web developers contact this community and offer an business partnership. Photographers get to showcase their works online and potentially get more clients. Their work would also be published and distributed in a magazine.

Any photography groups out there who want a website? I can help you out. :D
