Noypi.com.ph - A collection of Articles/Posts on the Philippines
Posted by Jozzua on Nov 23, 2006 in Uncategorized • 1 commentThis week I’ve been working on another experimental website - www.noypi.com.ph. I put in some initial content on it and edited the site’s Php code. I learned a bit more on MySQL and Php while doing it.
I have really no grand ambitions on the site. Right now, I just want it to be useful. For it to reach that point, people have to find value in it. So what did I do? I just made an aggregate of useful links that I could find about the Philippines. I added in some initial comments and content on the links. I gave visitors the ability to add content (subject to approval) and comments. There is a rating system. When stories are rated high and often, the topics show up in the front page.
Knowing SEO blackhatters, I’m pretty sure the system will be abused. I had to put in a measure of editorial control to prevent the site from becoming a spamfest haven.
In case you have an import link worth noting, submit it on noypi.com.ph. I’d appreciate the content.
