This weekend we were able to get a sale for a US$3,300 item in a client’s eCommerce store.

The client was in a very competitive commodity market. I had been doing Web Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for the site for almost two months now. It literally tested my skills in online promotions and internet marketing. Last weekend, when I heard they made a sale I felt utter joy.

I discovered that they client found the site through Google using the specific item’s model number. The model number came up on top of Google’s search results. It was the specific model number and information that I optimized the site for. They recently repriced it and it somehow attracted more than the usual attention from buyers.

The buyer had some trouble creating the account (and we learned from that), but eventually the sale was made. We took very important note of that. Sometimes little things can annoy a client’s online shopping experience. That little thing could cost you the sale!

I’m just glad it pushed through. I’m rejoicing but it only means I have more work to do.

had my share of joy in making an online sale. at a smaller scale though, compared to that of your client. but, the feeling of being able to sell online was really great and as you mentioned, does entail alot of work! ;)
