Hello my friends. Today, I’m pleased to say that I’ve reached the $US50 mark in terms of Adsense income. This just means that I’m at least halfway through getting an actual cheque for it. It’s really not much but I thought I’d just sit down and quietly smile at myself for this small achievement.

For those who don?t know, this personal website started just January this year(2006). It’s almost 6 months since I started. I’ve been averaging around 6-8 US dollars a month. This is not bad considering I am just a beginning blogger.

However, I did initially target getting at least a dollar a day by the sixth month. I’m actually a bit sad that I haven’t reached this goal yet but I think I’m slowly getting there. I did some website tweaking the past 2 weeks and was surprised to get US$2 on one day. Apparently I did something that was very Adsense-friendly. I’ll just keep learning from all of this.

I’ve built up quite an audience with you guys who’ve so far stuck it with me– occasionally, reading my posts and (hopefully) finding value in it. At the moment, I am averaging around 30-50 visits per day. A significant bulk of my visitors is coming from Google Searches. This is good since it means the site is being found when searched. It also means that I?m able to help out some people.

It’s the time of the year where I’ve decided to think about what direction I should be focusing on in terms of helping out those people interested in Entrepreneurship and Technology. I’m seriously considering creating another website strictly for entrepreneurs who would like to share their own thoughts? or just make this site a more open venue for people who would like to contribute. I don?t know. I?m still brainstorming a bit.

By the way, since we’re talking about Ads, I?ve got some friends who are selling webcams for around P800 (roughly US$15-16). I?ve actually used the little gadgets myself (and gave some as gifts last Christmas). They deliver to anywhere in the General Metro Manila Area. Let me be honest with you, I’ve encountered some models of this that have a blurry image. My friends, however, tell me they Quality Test these cams themselves. If you get a crappy one, tell me and I’ll kick their butts about it. They’ll send a replacement.
