I’ve actually been through a toastmaster seminar once. The speaker gave good inputs on voice projection and pronunciation as well as pointers on presenting with software tools such as PowerPoint. You guys might want to check it out.

How can I join in this fellowship?
Is there a guarantee that I could learn a lot in terms of communicaition, presentation & leadership skill?
Is this a training or seminar?
How much would it cost?
How long would it last?
How can I contact you by phone?
Thanks & regards

Guarantee? Is there such a thing? I’m not a toastmaster. It seems to be a formal club of sorts. I’m not the person you need to talk to but I’ll do some digging to find out how you can get in touch with them.

Hello,
I am interested to know more about the toastmasters. Grateful if you can provide me with answers to the following questions:
1) How much will it cost me to join the group? How much is the fee per session?
2) Who are the attendees of the toastmasters? e.g. age group, profession, etc (names not necessary)
3)What are the activities that the toasmasters engage in per session? (e.g. speech per person and someone will comment, coffee or tea after, etc)
4) What will I learn if I join the toastmasters?
An email response will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and more power.
Regards,
Sha

1. Membership varies from club to club. Usually 2.5K to 3K for the first six months which includes the New Member Kit, subscription to Toastmaster magazine, and 2 additional advanced manuals once you complete 10 speech projects. Every six months thereafter, it is usually 1.5K and for that you continue your subscription to Toastmaster magazine.
2. 18 and up. Students, professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, university professors, nurses, government employees, housewives, retirees, and those in-between jobs.
3. Toastmasters engage mainly in speaking and they get constructive evaluation for their speeches. When you complete 10 speeches you get a Competent Communicator norm plus the certificate. The meetings are usually done over lunch or dinner.
4. You will be more confident in speaking in front of an audience, you will become a better communicator.
In summary, Toastmasters is a training club. Check out two of the more active clubs out there Emperor Toastmasters and CaMaNaVa Toastmasters.
