James is very close on his figures. This would be less risk if you owned the property. I know a owner in PH that built all computers. Please include maintenance costs of equipment. Replacement costs once computers life cycle ends. If you operated the biz yourself would also give you an advantage.
The most Important point. Location, Location and Location. Study real good before jumping. Conduct a complete Business Plan would be smart.
Good Luck!

You need to recheck your numbers. 10 computers @ 25 php is 250 an hour. Operating 4 hours is 1000 per day. 25 days per month is 25,000php a month.
Deducting the expenses you listed (10,000 utilities, 4,000 salary and 20,000 rent) means you are operating at a loss of of -9,000 per month. That's if everything never breaks and you don't have any other unexpected expenses, which is highly unlikely. Also, with the competition lowering prices everyday, the average charges in a cafe these days is about 10php to 15php. You would have to have at least 15 computers running just to break even, and more to make a profit. And that is if you can average 4 hours a day for EVERY computer. Think long and hard before making this investment. You might want to combine your internet cafe with another business to make sure you aren't totally dependant on the internet cafe income.

@mark, you can pretty much consult with the computer retailers on what affordable gaming specs to buy. I went to PCX 3 months ago and gave them a 20K budget for a gaming CPU without a monitor. My system was pretty decent. Just ask the sales consultants - they're pretty straightforward. I recommend flatscreens btw - a little expensive at first but cheaper in the long run coz they consume less power than CRTs.

I saw an ad above about an internet cafe worth 400k for 18 computer units. I believe this is too much, was this ammortized correctly? A 450k can bring you 30+ computers, 3 printers, 1 scanner, office equipments, computer tables and chairs, employee appliances, need I say more? And we thought this was robbery :)
