For the exporters out there, check out some cool philippine native crafts that you could help sell to other countries. BrushArt Crafts, Necklaces, beads and accessories seem to always have an international market. It may take quite an investment, but the returns so far have been promising. The exporters I’ve met are making quite a decent earning. I can’t give out financial numbers, but it’s suffice to say that it’s sufficient to get a regular revenue stream.

My friend’s mother started with a simple crafts business some years ago. My friend helps her out in the business. He’s pretty proud to say that her Mom’s export business sufficiently helped them get 2 houses over the years.

The key seems to be in the design of the products. I’ve been told that crafts exporters should have some pretty talented designers who could regularly think of creative and original styles. The styles change every year/season.

I’ve also noticed that there are financing companies like SB Corporation who really help out exporters. If you check out their programs, you’ll notice that several are aimed at this industry.
