It appears that number of Philippine Entrepreneurship blogs are increasing. If this is any indication of what’s going on in Philippine Business, it seems Filipinos are starting to realize the value of starting their own businesses. Honestly, I think it’s a good trend.
By the way, my friend once chatted with a Filpina who was working abroad and when she asked her something about OFWs, this Filipina became agitated. Apparently, she resented being called an Overseas Filipina Worker (OFW). Now this made me think, is there a negative connotation to being an OFW?
Perhaps she was thinking that OFW = Domestic helper? If it’s not OFW, then what should be the politically correct term? May I ask the Filipinos/Filipinas working abroad, would you be resentful if I describe you as an OFW?
