This is a true testimonial from the owner of Popoy’s Grill T Morato branch. If you wish to verify the veracity of my statements, you can come and visit my branch and I’ll tell you everything in detail and show you proof. This is a warning to those planning to get a franchise. I do not want anyone else to fall into the same trap that they used on me and my franchise.

Be sure that you clarify with LAD and TINA AGUSTIN that all terms and company policies be indicated in the Franchise Agreement. They will trap you into signing the agreement first, then they tell you that they WILL NOT RELEASE the Franchise Agreement if you do not issue 24 post dated checks for the Monthly Continuous Development Fee (PhP2,500 a month) as a matter of “company policy”.

Said “company policy” is not included in the Franchise Agreement that you signed, but is merely mentioned (in passing) during the orientation seminar.

When you try to talk to them sensibly, you will be passed around from BECK, to TINA, then finally LAD will try to threaten you with their “Legal Department”. If you still do not comply, they will refuse to deliver stocks, forcing you to get stocks from other sources to keep your business open. At this point, they send CYRUS to your location and he will then threaten to terminate your franchise. What are you supposed to do now? With your Franchise agreement hostage, you cant get permits either.

This is a blatant display of un-professionalism in the highest degree. This is why I am considering terminating my franchise with them after consultation with my legal counsel.

Think twice, thrice, ten times, before you hand over your hard earned money to these people. You would not want to undergo what I’ve been through.

Imee, it’s a bad idea to publicly display your email. You are sure to get a lot of spam. There are spam bots out in the web that automatically harvest emails online.

Lad Agustin, you guys should get your own website. Check out this site - wwww.annexstore.com. YOu could be getting a lot more franchisees online.
