Bellini’s Restaurant in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines

Somewhere inside Marikina Shoe Expo, in Cubao, just beside the Mall formerly called C.O.D., is an Italian and his restaurant named Bellini?s. It?s generally a quite quaint place where you can get authentic Italian pasta, pizza and wine. The food is very appealing and affordable.

Consider visiting it when you can. Pasta prices per plate range from around P150- P200. Pizzas also go for the same amount. My personal favorite is the baked seafood spaghetti. You can have a sip of the wine for around P65 per glass. I?ve concluded that the place has generally better-priced and more delicious pasta than that of the big, more popular restaurants like Italiani?s (where a pasta plate can go up to P350!).

I’ve noticed, though, that the service of the staff can be inconsistent at times. One time, I asked for water, it came 15 minutes later – too long for just one glass! It turned out the waiter forgot about my order.

Although families frequent the place (especially on Sundays, when you would see the place full of people at lunchtime), it is also a
recommended date place.

I’ve been here several times. The area surrounding the restaurant is relatively more peaceful-looking compared to the busy streets just outside. The expo itself is filled with displays of Marikina-made shoes. If your sweetheart is a shoe-lover (and I noticed that women generally are) she would definitely enjoy the view while walking towards Bellini’s.

The place is draped with red curtains and the furniture looks antique. The lights are somewhat dim and yellow. All in all, the ambiance gives me a feeling of being out of manila, and inside a house of an Italian. Bellini himself adds to this ambiance since he is usually there and gladly talks to anyone. A guitarist was even once playing acoustic love songs.

There is something about this place that is relaxing and inviting. Try stopping by here and see/taste for yourself.

  1. is there any other nice restaurant in cubao? coz i wanna bring my gf there on valentines day.. any suggestion?

  2. We went to Bellini’s due to it’s popularity. We heard a lot about the place. Our first time went ok. We were able to talk to the owner. Service is good. The next time we went there its a disappointment. Owner not there. We ordered the specialty for the day pasta bosco. We asked for the price and the waiter told us its 250 Php. The moment we have the bill, pasta is 300. For some restaurants we can accept this but the fist time we go there another waiter told us that if the owner is not there they are the one running the place. According to the waiter, they are on their own specially afternoon onwards. It’s a nice place, great food no doubt about it. It’s just that the fontliners of the restaurant takes advantage of the owners trust. We asked for the manager to report the incident and they won’t allow us to talk to him. They are telling us that he is not around. We don’t care about the money heck its only 55 Php. We just don’t like cheaters. Waiters name is Tom.

  3. by the way.. its 55 Php including the tax.

  4. Hmm.. Yeah I noticed that the Bellini waiters aren’t really that helpful. It can really hurt Mr. Bellini’s business.

  5. yes, it’s really true guy’s.. i’ve been that Italian Bellini Restaurant in cubao. Mr Roberto Bellini he is a friendly guy & the food was very fantastic..only bco-z the waiter wasn’t very nice to the customer the name is Randy, tom & the gay( bakla) even the owner i dont really like her Mrs. Luisa, she wasn’t very friendly. it can be bad to the costomer too.

  6. First of all, I would like to apologize because this will be a long comment.

I was impressed by the reviews in Bellini’s that is why i chose to go here on valentines 2010. However, I am really disappointed at the food and the service.

First, we we’re served with the mixed appetizers of breadsticks, bread with something like liver spread and eggplant with cheese, ham and tomato. The eggplant appetizer looked and tasted like it was cooked 4 hours before we order it!

The first plate of pasta was good. I got the ravioli with spinach inside and it was perfect. My GF got the fettucine that I forgot what’s in it but also it was good but nothing extravagant about it.

For the second plate, I got the chicken with white sauce, forgot also the name. It was also good, but my GF got the seafood something, which only has a single prawn, 2 clams and 2 mussels..,the serving is really small, a kid might not even appreciate it, like the first one, it’s just a mediocre pasta

Then the waiter suddenly told us that the dessert that we ordered was already out of stock! After eating everything! Why didn’t he told us in the first place?! Waiters are shouting at each other while attending to customers. I need to get their attention twice just to get the bill, and received it after 15 minutes!

The price on the set menu didn’t justify at all the food and service. P1,700 plus service charge. All in all almost P1,900. The price is way too high for this kind of service and food.

Our date was perfect except for the food and service.

I wont be coming again in this place…so much for all the raves about this place.

I used to have great lunch dates at Bellini’s. It’s been quite a while since my last visit.
