Courtship generally involves sending flowers. If you were in Manila, the best place to go and buy flowers would be in Dangwa. There is an assortment of flowers here ? from Malaysian mums, to Lilies, and roses. Roses, on an ordinary day would be around P35 but easily shoots up to P150 per stem on Valentine?s or Mother?s Day.

Someone out of the country would probably find it easier to just have somebody else buy flowers for them. Having a friend in manila helps — he can order flowers from a local shop and have it delivered, and you pay the corresponding fees. This would then become a personal arrangement between friends. I had a friend from Indonesia who once asked me if I could deliver some roses to his sweetheart here in Manila. I gladly oblidged. ( Last I heard they were planning for marriage.)

Another option would be to order from an online store. There are
a number of Philippine websites where various gifts, including flowers,
can be delivered to anyone in Manila. Islandrose , PhilippineFlowersandGifts, and RosesPhilippines are examples of websites that focus on flower delivery. Filgifts and ThriftyPinoy
allow you to send even other kinds of gifts, aside from flowers. These
websites are, however, very pricey. Flowers range from US$20 - $30
(over a thousand pesos!).

I guess one just has to find the right budget.
