Alexa’s Deli
Over at H.V. Dela Costa St. (in Makati) and just near the corner of Tordesillas St., is Classica 1 Tower. At the ground floor of this building is Alexa?s Deli.
First glance tells me that this should be a coffee shop. Upon entering, I noticed the row of Wine Bottles arrayed at the back wall. On a glass panel just beside the counter is a collection of varying cheese delights. Since this is a Deli, ready-to-serve foods such as cold cooked meats, and salads were also available.
I see coffee choices on their displayed menu. I also see Breakfast,
Lunch and Merienda options. For example, on their menu for today I saw
some breakfast meals, such as the Australian Corned Beef Hash for P195.
Their special meals were the Hungarian Sausage Baguette for P175, Sweet
Ham Pandesal at P110 and the Club Sandwich for P220.
The food is
good but pricey and just too much for my personal budget. Being in
Makati, though, this is just about a decent price range for people on
lunch meetings. The ambience is generally quiet and suited for such
occasions.
The coffee, however, were real temptations. Caf?
Latte was only P60 while a Caf? Mocha was P85. Starbucks, Seattle?s
Best and Figaro suddenly seemed expensive. I ordered the Caf? Latte and
found that it was pretty good. A friend of mine ordered Caf? Mocha and
claimed that it is just as good as that of the other popular coffee
shops.
I?ve been here a couple of times and I have not really
seen it full of people. Despite that, it never seems to be empty. I
usually see Caucasians gracing the restaurant. The food must have
western, European taste.
I?ve ordered pasta here once and felt
disappointed at the meager serving. The food itself was good, but that
only left me craving for more.
Alexa's Deli has free wi-fi.
Right now, it?s the only public restaurant I know that does so. It?s
really nice to find a spot to surf and not see that airborneaccess
firewall website that can be found on other Cafes.

To the management of Alexa’s,
I was very concerned about my experience there last thursday night!
i saw their waiter busting out the tables and kept ALL the tip that was placed on the table! very disgusting!! i asked the cashier for the name of that guy,he said he said “Frank po” another experience on the that night,we ordered a sausage platter, and my friend went to the
restroom and to his surprise he saw anoher GUY,wearing a barong-like-shirt,eating pieces of the sausages that we ordered!! that Haven’t even delivered to our table that guy eaten our food BEFORE us!! i heard somebody calling him as “Jo”!!
Very disgusting!because we love hanging out in alexa’s! my point here
how can we dine there again IF the employees in alexa’s are all dishonest?
I really hope that the mangement/owners will do something about this!
a regular guest,
